The Cumberland County Improvement Authority retained Pennoni to perform the design and bid development for a 200 KW Combined Heat & Power (CHP) system for the Cumberland County Community College. The CHP system will provide electricity and hot water to the campus’s district hot water system. Pennoni’s Energy and MEP Divisions assisted the Authority with detailed feasibility studies, construction administration, mechanical and electrical design, utility interconnections and grant writing. Based on these efforts, the project was awarded a $500,000 grant from the NJ Clean Energy Program for the installation of the CHP system. The project is currently in final design with an installation date of late 2018.
