Philadelphia, PA — Ross Stuart, PE, SE, has been named to Civil + Structural Engineer’s 2019 Rising Star list. The award recognizes young professionals whose exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service has benefited the civil or structural engineering professions, their employers, project owners, and society.
Ross is a Structural Division Manager in Pennoni’s Philadelphia, PA office and has more than 12 years of structural design and assessment experience. He has assisted with the design, coordination, administration and management of the structural engineering for a diverse spectrum of projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, inspection, condition assessment, pre-purchase due diligence and bid repair projects.
“I’m honored to be recognized for the growth and evolution of my career to this point, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without everyone I’ve learned from over the past 12 years and the team of engineers and designers we have here in Philadelphia that work hard and maintain the highest standards of work quality and professionalism. My success is their success,” said Ross. “In particular, I’ve had a mentor for the past 34 years, my Dad – Matthew Stuart – providing everything I would need to be successful, both professionally and personally. I’ve put in a lot of hard work over the years and tried to forge my own path, but if it wasn’t for my Dad, who helped sparked and stoke the fire for my interest in this industry, I wouldn’t be the man or engineer I am today.”
