We’ve expanded!
2022 was a big year for Pennoni. Our success is a direct result of our clients, partners and staff. This year, Pennoni acquired certain assets of and hired the staff of four firms up and down the east coast.

Let’s walk through Pennoni’s 2022 additions:
SMITH Engineering – The new SMITH Division of Pennoni in Chantilly, VA joined Pennoni on August 1, 2022. SMITH has been serving private sector clients in the National Capital Region with land development and civil engineering services since 2008. Their work, focused on residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, recreational, and mixed-use development concentrates heavily in the Virginia counties of Loudoun, Prince William, Fairfax, and Stafford, as well as over 20 other Northern Virginia municipalities. This expansion brings a Pennoni office back to Chantilly, VA.
Hygenix, Inc. – The new Hygenix Division of Pennoni in Stamford, CT joined Pennoni on October 1, 2022. With the addition of Hygenix, Pennoni is strengthening its Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) service offerings nationwide. Since 1985, Hygenix has been a leader in environmental consulting, testing and laboratory services. Their staff of environmental scientists includes certified industrial hygienists (ABIH), geologists and licensed environmental professionals, supported by a laboratory accredited by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. This expansion brings a new Pennoni office to Stamford, CT.
Kempton Rinard – The new Kempton Rinard Division of Pennoni in Tampa, FL joined Pennoni on October 31, 2022. Kempton Rinard provides landscape architectural and civil engineering services for multi-faceted corporate, institutional, municipal and governmental design projects throughout the Southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean. With existing offices in Clearwater and Winter Haven, FL, the new location allows Pennoni to expand its presence in the Tampa Bay area.
CH Engineering – The new CH Engineering Division of Pennoni joined Pennoni on November 9, 2022. Founded in 2000, CH Engineering is an engineering and land surveying firm that services state agencies, universities, municipalities, counties, architects, real estate developers, and other consulting engineering firms. The new addition bolsters Pennoni’s existing Raleigh, NC office.
As we enter 2023, Pennoni is excited for continued growth and the opportunity to serve new regions and clients!
