Pennsylvania Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP)

The Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) is a national technology transfer program with oversight by the Federal Highway Administration and administered in Pennsylvania by PennDOT’s Bureau of Planning and Research. The LTAP transfers state-of-the-art highway maintenance and operations concepts and technologies to local public works departments through training and technical assistance.

Pennoni has been the technical subconsultant for the LTAP since 2005, offering such services as training course development and delivery, telephone and on-site technical assistance, administering the Local Safe Roads Communities Program, contributing articles and Technical Information Sheets to the LTAP newsletter Moving Forward, product demonstrations, and conference presentations.
