As mentioned in our Fall 2022 issue of Perspective, Pennoni recently open an office in The District of Columbia, expanding our ability to better service new and existing clients in the National Capital Region!
Our new location on 80 M Street will serve as an engineering technology hub for continuing work with DDOT, as well as expanding our services to support the various markets within the district. With everything Washington has to offer, Pennoni is excited to build on relationships and expand in the region. For years, Pennoni has worked with agencies in the region. We are currently designing the new US National Arboretum Bridge and Trail over the Anacostia River, two bridge replacements in historic neighborhoods in Ward 7, and most recently have served as DDOT’s citywide bridge engineering consultant. Pennoni is also working on the rehabilitation design of the SE/SW Freeway Bridges, a largescale DDOT infrastructure project. We have been responsive to DDOT emergency needs, including our inspectors being first on the scene following the I-295 Benning Road Pedestrian Bridge collapse.
As we build on our experience in the region, Pennoni is prepared to support new and existing clients in land development and real estate conversion initiatives and new projects resulting from the surge in infrastructure funding, from start to finish. With experience in various markets, Pennoni can provide full range of service offerings, including civil, geotechnical engineering, construction management and inspection and environmental, health and safety services.
In addition, our technology solutions include geographic information systems (GIS), asset management, design visualization, smart site design, high-definition laser scanning and reality capture and BIM for buildings and bridges, to name but a few. Pennoni brings innovative sustainable and renewable energy solutions; our experienced engineers can support the implementation of critical utility infrastructure upgrades, including those needed for the district’s plans for EV charging stations and microgrid design.
Washington, D.C. offers a diverse range of neighborhoods to fit any lifestyle and personality, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit. With a new office at 80 M St SE, Pennoni is excited to be a part of the historical charm, vibrant nightlife and cultural diversity that is Washington, DC.
