Pennoni is thrilled to announce the creation of an Energy and Design-Build region. Pennoni’s Michael R. Cromer, PG, DBIA, ENV SP, will serve as Regional Vice President for this new region, as well as, Associate Vice President for the firm. Cromer’s promotion to both Regional VP and Associate VP signify a permanent commitment to growth and focus on Pennoni’s involvement in both Energy and Design-Build projects.
Pennoni’s Energy and Design-Build region will be a market-focused business unit offering Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, and Design-Build services to industrial, commercial, federal and institutional clients. The new region will blend Energy Management with Design-Build services to offer true turn-key solutions. These services will range from chiller plant optimization and energy procurement to turn-key design-build project delivery. The region will have no geographic boundary and will be built to adapt to the ever-changing energy and design-build markets.
In this position, Cromer will be directly responsible for growing the new region through increased service offerings and strategic business development. Cromer has extensive experience in project management, construction operations, energy project development, project finance, contract structuring, design-build delivery, cost estimating, health & safety, environmental engineering and land development. He is a licensed professional geologist in Pennsylvania and Delaware and holds a national design-build certification (DBIA) and an Envision SP (ENV SP) certification for sustainable design. Mike has spearheaded the development of distributed generation, compressed natural gas (CNG) and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) business models providing diversification and additional revenue streams for Pennoni.
