Brian Diehl, PE promoted to Regional Vice President
Clearwater, FL – Pennoni, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Diehl, PE, to Regional Vice President for the Southeast region. In his new role, Brian will be directly responsible for overseeing the continued growth of the region, which includes seven Pennoni locations throughout the state of Florida.
David Pennoni, PE, Chief Operating Officer, stated that Brian was “selected among a strong slate of internal candidates. During his tenure at Pennoni, Brian has proven to be a talented technical project manager with exceptional vision and leadership skills, and key abilities to build client relationships and drive business results.”
Brian, who recently relocated to the firm’s Clearwater, FL office from its headquarters in Philadelphia, brings more than 20 years of experience in site design, land development, stormwater management, and infrastructure projects. He has worked as Project Manager and Senior Design Engineer on various large government, commercial, athletic, residential, public transportation, land development, and industrial facility projects.
He joined the firm in 2013 after working as a Project Engineer with the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority. Since relocating to Clearwater in 2018, Diehl has successfully expanded the site design group in the region to serve clients throughout Florida and the southeast. He is a licensed PE in FL, PA, and NJ and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

Brian replaces Nelson Shaffer, former Regional Vice President, who will continue to contribute to the success of the region by supporting Brian through the transition, providing leadership, advice, and guidance on projects and business development. Since relocating to Florida three years ago and assuming the role of RVP, Nelson has been integral in successfully growing the region for the firm and overseeing several strategic acquisitions.
