Pennoni Announces New Vice President of Energy and Sustainability

 Michael Cromer promoted to lead energy, sustainability and MEP efforts out of Newark, DE

Philadelphia, PA – Pennoni, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm headquartered in Philadelphia, is excited to announce Michael Cromer, PG, DBIA, ENV SP, has been appointed to the new role of vice president of energy and sustainability. Previously serving as regional vice president of energy and design-build, Cromer will lead Pennoni’s corporate sustainability efforts, including related objectives, goals and strategies across its multiple offices.

In addition to his sustainability duties, Cromer will be stepping in to lead the MEP division in the firm’s Newark, DE office. Cromer will replace Jim Tardona who formerly led the MEP division and will be providing transition consultation and further support to Pennoni’s business development team in 2022.

“I can’t think of a better person to pass the MEP torch to. Mike’s experience and expertise in this field paired with his dedication to clients will strengthen Pennoni and add to continued success,” says Tardona.

In his new role, Cromer will focus on integrating alternative energy development, energy efficiency and resiliency projects with Pennoni’s traditional service offerings. His commitment to steadfast client service and experience in microgrid development, mission critical site hardening and onsite distributed generation will help him attract new clientele.
