To pave the way for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) new $1.9B state-of-the-art patient care facility. Pennoni conducted a thorough pre-demolition hazardous materials inspection of the Richard D. Wood Pediatric Ambulatory Care building in Philadelphia.
The environmental building survey was done to identify any hazardous or regulated materials needing remediation before the building’s demolition.
Pennoni was able to leverage decades of hazardous building materials information and analytical data from previous investigations to quickly develop a comprehensive plan for an environmental building survey to assist CHOP in planning and budgeting for any necessary remediation.
Pennoni coordinated with CHOP to access and assess the entire building without disrupting ongoing operations, saving time and money for the client. The work was completed on time and within budget, clearing the way for the construction of one of the world’s leading pediatric medical care centers.
